After one summer, the numbers suggest that the Aberdeen Parks and Rec Downtown Clean-up Crew have earned an invitation to come back for more.  The team of part time staffers were responsible for shopping cart return, weeding and litter control, in the downtown core of Aberdeen.

The Aberdeen City Council has approved using the money from a property sale to complete parking lot improvements on a vacant lot behind City Hall and has approved the spending of $15,000 to contract with a company to create a plan for the Southside Public Safety Center.

The Aberdeen City Council has declared a state of emergency to deal with a landslide on Friedlander Drive.  The declaration will allow the city to skip the competitive bid process and expedite the repairs.
